The paper focuses on the perceived service quality of Idea Cellular which is a leading GSM mobile services operator in India. This study investigates the effect of marketing strategies espoused by Idea Cellular and its upshot on the consumers. It also attempts to study the expectations of the customers and the marketing strategies that have been taken by the organization to discharge them. A study of perception of distributors has also been made to understand insights and identify factors of customer satisfaction that the organization is focusing on. The study highlights the factors that contribute to the hedonistic escalation in this dynamic competitive world.

Measuring Employee Satisfaction through Factor Analysis: A Case of State Bank of India (SBI) in Bhubaneswar

Product Designing through Conjoint Analysis and Curve Fitting of Financial Data: A Case of Birla Tyres

This case study focuses on the product designing of domestic bias tyres of trucks and bus. There are some attributes of tyres by which potential customers are focusing on these attributes but by taking the most significant attributes like “Application”, “After sales service” and “Rim size” and using the conjoint analysis technique the best combination has been selected. For financial data the curve fitting method of least square of straight line parabolic curve methods are applied for forecasting for the next 10 years and the comparative study also carried out for managerial implication of this company.

A Prediction on Rice Production in India through Multivariate Regression Analysis

In this paper an extensive study is carried out to estimate the rice production in India based on current and historical data. The significant factors studied are land used, irrigation and production respectively. To study the strength of interdependence between the factors and estimation of production multivariate correlation analysis and regression analysis have been applied. To predict the future production of rice different time series techniques have been studied for better comparison. To facilitate the entire study and maintain quality, consistency and accuracy of data SPSS- 20.0 version software is used.

Exploring the Corporate Governance in Lloyd’s and the Co-operative Bank: the Role of the Board

Corporate Governance is a complex process through which the companies are directed and controlled. The purpose of corporate governance is to facilitate effective, entrepreneurial and prudent management that can deliver the long-term success of the company. Moreover the overall success and failure of the banking system depends upon the corporate governance principles and procedures applied in the banks. There are various guidelines which together make up the combine code for the corporate governance policies in the bank. The fact that the corporate governance is different in financial sectors than that of the non-financial sectors is because that the financial firms pose greater risk to the economy than that of the non-financial firms. This study aims to present the corporate governance principles and policies in the banking organisations in UK with special emphasis on the role of the board in these banks. For this purpose the two banks selected as a case study are the Lloyd’s bank and the Co-operative bank. The role and responsibilities of the board and the committees are explored and discussed in this research.

To Study the Relationship between Performance Appraisal and Employee Performance in Telecom Sector

The study aims at developing a strong impact of perceived fairness of performance appraisal on employee performance. It is a descriptive research. Data was collected from the respondents through a standardized questionnaire. The sample size consists of 80 employees from Vodafone and Tata Docomo. Analysis of data is done through quantitative method that is numerical figure. Instrument used for data analysis is SPSS. The analysis of responses was done by using correlation and regression analysis. Correlation analysis says that there exists a relationship between perceived fairness of performance appraisal and employee performance. In regression analysis, the nature of the relationship between the dependent and the independent variables was analyzed and the result was that there exists a significant impact of perceived fairness of performance appraisal on employee performance.
